Cupcake Chronicles E13-Life in an Arctic Fox 990

This week we’re talking about how to clean black water tanks with ice. We’re literally tossing ice into the toilet to try and correct an issue in our black water tank. Seriously. No, really, we’re pouring a 20 pound bag of ice straight down into the toilet. We saw it on Facebook and people say it works, so we’re giving it a go!

The sensors on the black tank get covered by solid waste splash and then they don’t work so well. We have a good idea how long we can go without dumping the tanks in our truck camper, so the non-working sensor isn’t a big deal. Plus, we mainly just shine a light down the toilet to check the level, if necessary.

If ice in a toilet and how to clean black water tanks aren’t a fun invitation to check out this weeks VLOG, well, I’m not sure what else I can say to entice you…(We’re always open to suggestions! So you can sure feel free to let us know what you’d like to see us talking about.)

Along the way we’ll also visit Fort Pickens in Florida. We camp at the campground and wander the old fort. It’s a great place to explore. (You can read more about it here.) We also visit a tiny cemetery and enjoy our first taste of Florida weather.

Enjoy our video over on YouTube!
