PCT: 250 miles

Noelle at 250 PCT miles

Noelle here:

We celebrate with everyone since there seems to be some uncertainty where the real mile marker is! That first one written in the sand, we showed at 249.2, but we still took a picture! I think the last one is the real one. Also Steve said I don’t know how to give a peace sign, but I was giving a number three, like third times the charm. 👍

Also, this evening we’re camped at 266.1 miles, so we’re technically 1/10 of the way to Canada! 😁

    Steve and Noelle,

I maintain a website devoted to the PCT featuring photos and stories from the trail. It is a total labor of love. With your permission, I’d like to re-post some of your various 250 mile markers. I would give you full credit and link to your blog. You can check out the website if that would be helpful: http://www.pcttrailsidereader.com Please let me know. Best wishes with your hike! I’ll keep an eye on your blog and maybe there will be other potential posts along your way.

Steve and Noelle, it will be a short post about milemarkers on the trail . . . it will go up for a couple of days on May 12. I’ll keep following your journey and pick a more momentous topic next update. I applaud you both for tackling the PCT as a couple.

You guys look awesome. Good job. BTW the real peace sign has been co-opted and is now a gang signal. (You are missing so much in the real world 😉

The pictures show that although pack weight has not changed much there is significantly less of your selves to carry around. I’m hoping you can quickly find ways to stabilize your weight.
Enjoy the large portions in the cafes that cater to hikers!
